HARLEYSVILLE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Medical Components, Inc. (aka Medcomp) is pleased to announce the approval of the Celerity ECG Tip Confirmation System for commercial sale by Health Canada. Medcomp's Celerity ECG Tip Confirmation System combines an advanced, yet easy-to-use, software with intuitive components to provide a platform that is easy to learn, easy to use and easy to teach. Celerity, indicated as an alternative method to chest X-ray or fluoroscopic tip confirmation, improves the accuracy and efficiency of the PICC implantation procedure from insertion to infusion benefitting both the patient and provider alike.
Medcomp, the originator of the Celerity ECG system, will begin marketing their device throughout the provinces of Canada beginning in October. In addition to utilizing a network of direct sales representatives and long time distribution partners, Medcomp will also leverage a newly minted distribution agreement with AngioDynamics to ensure all healthcare facilities have access to the device and its transformative power to the patient and provider experience.
