Molbio Diagnostics developing more tests for Truenat platform

Molbio Diagnostics that developed Truenat Real-Time PCR, the world's only point-of-care (PoC) platform used by the World Health organization to detect tuberculosis, is now preparing more tests on the same platform, as reported Business Standard on Wednesday.

Apart from COVID-19 and tuberculosis, Molbio is preparing 30 new test kits, such as for zika, cholera, sickle cell anaemia and influenza.

The Truenat platform gained traction during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the last year the company sold close to 3000 devices, representing triple the number sold in 2019.
