BetterUp, Walmart launch mental fitness platform for caregivers

Mental health and coaching start-up BetterUp is joining forces with Walmart on a new subscription offering to provide customised tools and community support for caregivers, the companies announced. They noted that the so-called BetterUp for Caregivers platform is the only coaching subscription offering available exclusively through Walmart's Wellness Hub.

Eduardo Medina, chief operating officer at BetterUp, said "we're proud to harness [our] expertise in human transformation to support [carers] in finding social connection, building their mental fitness and increasing their resilience through science-backed digital and human-centred solutions." He added that "this is the first time that a solution of this magnitude has been attempted, and we couldn't be more thrilled to team up with Walmart to provide a transformational experience for this community at scale."

The monthly subscription to BetterUp for Caregivers costs an average of about $30 per week. Members will have access to live group programming, community support and a range of on-demand solutions such as 25-minute drop-in workshops on topics like stress and finding balance, tailored self-guided programmes and personalised assessments. The offering also includes Coaching Circles, a live community programme led by professional coaches who will cover issues such as self-care and resilience.
